Add Images and Videos to a monday.com Form

Published on September 24, 2026

A form full of text fields works fine until you need to show something instead of describing it. A product form needs the actual product photo next to the question asking which variant someone wants. A training sign-up needs the instructional diagram it’s asking people to confirm they’ve read. An event form does better with a 30-second preview clip than another paragraph of copy.

Whether you can do that depends on which tool built the form, and how literally you mean “add an image” — a logo at the top of the page is a different capability than a picture attached to a specific question.

Quick answer

  • WorkForms supports a header logo and rich-text descriptions (form description, question description, content blocks) that can hold JPG/PNG images, but there’s no drag-and-drop upload for those images — pasting one in currently means embedding an HTML image link, and simple copy-paste is an open feature request.
  • WorkForms has no video embedding inside a form. monday.com’s YouTube Widget embeds video on dashboards and boards, not on WorkForms, and embedding files or media in a form is an open community request.
  • FormFlow includes dedicated Image Embed and Video Embed fields you place anywhere in the form like any other field — upload an image or paste a URL, or embed from YouTube, Vimeo, or a direct video URL.
  • Install FormFlow to drop a product photo or a walkthrough video into your next form.

What WorkForms Supports Today

WorkForms’ branding options live under the Logo & header tab of the form’s Design panel: upload an image, crop it, set alt text, and control header alignment and logo size, per monday.com’s Design your WorkForm  support article. That covers a single logo at the top of the form, not an image tied to an individual question.

Below the header, WorkForms’ rich-text areas — the welcome page, form description, question descriptions, and the “Thank you” screen — support formatting including JPG/PNG images, and a separate content blocks feature (documented in Organize your WorkForm with content blocks and pages ) lets you insert rich-text sections between questions. Getting an image into either one is the catch: the monday.com community has an open request for pasting images with Ctrl+V , and the documented workaround discussed in the community is embedding an HTML image tag pointing at a hosted file rather than uploading directly.

Video is further behind. There’s no video field or embed option inside a WorkForm itself — monday.com’s YouTube Widget  plays video on a dashboard or board view, and a separate open request asks to embed files in a workform  at all.

And a dedicated per-question image field — something you attach directly to one question, not the page description — doesn’t exist yet either. It’s one of the longer-running WorkForms feature requests, showing up across multiple threads: Add pictures to monday forms , WorkForm Graphics , Ability on Forms to add images to support the question , and Add an Image to A Form .

FormFlow’s Image Embed and Video Embed Fields

FormFlow treats images and video as their own field types, documented in Field Types & Form Fields, which you place anywhere in the form’s layout rather than only in a header or a description block:

  • Image Embed: upload an image or paste an image URL, with a caption or description, and responsive sizing that adapts to the form’s width. Use it for product photos, a logo repeated mid-form, or a visual guide next to the question it explains.
  • Video Embed: embed from YouTube, Vimeo, or a direct video URL, with a responsive player and configurable autoplay and controls. Use it for a product demo, a short tutorial, or a welcome message before the first question.

Because both are standalone fields, you can put a product image directly above the variant-selection question it illustrates, or a 30-second explainer video between the intro and the first question, instead of routing everything through a single page description.

Setting Up an Image or Video Field

  1. Open the form in the FormFlow builder and add a new field where you want the media to appear.
  2. Choose Image Embed or Video Embed from the field library.
  3. For an image, upload a file or paste an image URL, then add a caption if the image needs a short label.
  4. For a video, paste the YouTube, Vimeo, or direct video URL, then set autoplay and controls to match how you want it to play.
  5. Preview the form to confirm the media is responsive at the width your respondents will actually see it on, especially on mobile.

When a Logo Is Enough

If all you need is your company logo above the form, WorkForms’ header logo setting covers that on its own — you don’t need a separate app for branding alone. The gap shows up once a form needs media tied to a specific question, or a video anywhere in the flow, which is where a page-level header or description can’t help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I paste an image directly into a WorkForms question description?

Not with a simple paste as of this writing. The monday.com community has an open request for Ctrl+V image pasting; the current path is embedding an HTML image tag that points at a hosted image file.

Does WorkForms support video anywhere in a form?

No dedicated video field or embed option has been documented for WorkForms itself. monday.com’s YouTube Widget plays video on dashboards and boards, and embedding media in a form is an open community request.

Do FormFlow’s image and video fields require external hosting?

Video embeds point at a URL from YouTube, Vimeo, or a direct video file. Image embeds can be uploaded directly or referenced by URL, so you don’t need separate hosting for a simple product photo.

Is a single logo enough, or do I need per-question images?

That depends on the form. A one-time announcement or simple intake form is usually fine with a header logo. Anything explaining a specific choice — product variants, a diagram someone has to confirm, a step in a process — benefits from an image or video attached to that exact question.
